Towing with cover on at Highway speeds
« on: June 30, 2017, 09:51:21 AM »
I was told when I bought our new GTS 205 not to tow it on the highway with the covers on.  That struck me as odd.  Do you experienced boat owners tow your boats with the covers on?  He told me to keep it uncovered and to put all of the cushions that are not attached in the tow vehicle.  That would take up a lot of space.

Wow, that's a new one, Not sure where your dealer is getting their info from but that's ridiculous. All the boats I have owned, including my GTS, I have towed them with the snapon covers. That's what they are for.

Thanks so much Merlin.  We felt the same way.  He said it tears them up, but we see boats being towed on the highway all the time with the bow and stern snap-on covers on.  Have a great 4th of July and thanks for responding to my dumb questions.
